While many of us are tightening our belts and spending less in these tough economic times, rich fashionistas like Victoria Beckham are still living the high life. Never one to look for budget bags like the rest of us, Vic prefers to splash out Hermes Birkins. A new report suggests the former Spice Girls’ collection of the status handbags is worth a whopping £1.5 million.
Apparently the artist formerly known as Posh Spice has 100 of the iconic handbags, which retail for $6,000 and $7,000. Of course, that’s just your run of the mill Birkin. Victoria’s favorites are made from more exotic skins like ostrich, crocodile, and alligator.
It’s easy to point fingers at self-absorbed celebs like Victoria, who prefer to spend money filling their closets than clothing the homeless. But I’m sure I’m not the only one who drools over those photos of Posh proudly carrying her latest purse purchase!
