Bulgari has gone back to the vault to celebrate its 125th anniversary. The Italian luxury brand has revived classic collections – the Doppio Tondo, Leoni, Collezione 1910, and Twist – but given them modern makeovers.

The Doppio Tondo line retains the distinctive double overlapped round metallic rings engraved with the double "Bulgari" logo. These double rings take inspiration from the infinite loop, reminding us of the classic styling the brand represents. The wine red and forest green shades are new though, the jewel tones ideal for the cooler weather ahead.

We see the double logo again in the Twist, although this time it's printed on a duo of medallions. This season the line has a more relaxed feel thanks to the drawstring closure.

The Leoni bags are also a little more casual this time around, with their rounded corners. The original handles and clasps have also been moved to the center of the purse for a bold new look.

The Collezione 1910 hearkens back to the year the first Bulgari store opened in Rome. The collection features the brand's original Art Nouveau style advertisement printed on leather, oiled linen, or cotton canvas. Calfskin trimmings and handles add a little luxury to the less decadent fabrics, while the leather receives a special treatment for everyday use.

The retro Bulgari bags aren't cheap, with the leather purses clocking in at a few thousand a piece, but the classic styles might be worth a splurge.

The Mari Hobo bag is part of Big Buddha's fall 2009 collection, but I have to admit that I'm a bit confused by its placement there. It's not that I dislike the design. I'm just not sure it's totally fall-worthy with its fabric body.

That being said, the style of the Mari Hobo is very appealing. With the majority of the handbag in fabric and the trim on the handles and the sides in synthetic leather-like material, there's a nice blend of texture and a definite air of casual and contemporary chic to this Big Buddha bag.

I'm not in love with the contrasting stitching on the front of this beige version. It's a little strange that such an eyecatching detail isn't continued on the back of the hobo. However, that isn't a factor if you choose the dark black color instead, which would probably be a better choice anyway as far as hiding dirt on the fabric.

Like basically any of Big Buddha's designs, the Mari Hobo is decently priced at just $90. I wouldn't call it an extremely versatile purse since the fabrics and slouchy look limit you to casual outfits, but it's a great affordable option for a simple but stylish accessory.

Canvas handbags might be on their way out for the new season, but tribal details aren't going anywhere. This Steven by Steve Madden Uptown Tribal Bucket Hobo has both features, which might not be the best option for the fall but is still a cute option for a wardrobe.

There's nothing overtly summery about this bucket hobo expect perhaps the material. Although canvas isn't exclusively a spring and summer fabric, it does tend to make its way into the fashion of those seasons more than fall and winter. This Steven by Steve Madden use of the fabric is sort of in between, in my opinion, and not distinctly appropriate for merely one time of year.

The ethnic-themed print on the canvas is definitely on trend with its abstract tribal influence. The leather trim adds to the effect with whipstitched details along the edges and a braided detail on the handle.

I'm not sure that the purple magenta version or the black-and-white option have the same tribal vibe as this olive and brown combination. The earthy colors are, by far, the best choice for this type of style.

As a bucket hobo, the Uptown Tribal has plenty of room for every woman's purse essentials with an interior zippered pocket for small things. The magnetic closure isn't as secure as a zip top, but it does make for easy access into the purse.

This dopp kit is something a little different from Tepper Jackson. The bold patterns and vibrant colors we're used to are gone, replaced with elegant matte shades.

While it appears like leather at first glance, looks can be deceiving. This dopp kit is actually crafted from laminated canvas. It may not be quite as luxurious but it's a pretty convincing, not to mention affordable, substitute. The case is traditionally designed, with a classic domed shape and chic topstitching. Gender neutral colors like this moss green make this toiletries bag appropriate for lads and ladies.

While we girls might be taken in by the looks, Tepper Jackson knows it has to provide a practical package if it hopes to keep the men interested. The front and back are equipped with large zippered pockets which complement the main interior compartment. It's a little small for my liking, but so long as you stick to travel shampoos and stick deodorants you should manage. It's also nice to see the signature Tepper Jackson flair hidden on the colorful lining inside.

It might not suit pack rats or fans of Tepper Jackson's quirkier accessories, but this dopp kit is an excellent choice for those looking for a classic cosmetics bag.

I thought for sure that we were beginning to see the last of the neon color craze, but then I found this brand new canvas tote by Chloé. See by Chloé's offerings are usually on the very edge of mass market trends, but this time they may be just a minute too late.

Not that a color should necessarily be relegated to trend fodder, but let's be honest. Since neons were everywhere in 2008, I can't help but think "last year" when I look at this. The graphic is quirky and cute, but the black on hot pink punk lite print only enhances its past tense appearance.

It does satisfy my personal requirement that a tote cost less than $100, but you'll find it for sale for as high as $145, so be aware. It really shouldn't cost that much, considering that it is unlined and contains no interior pockets or any other organizational features.

Also on my list of complaints is the horribly tacky chain hanging from the printed dog's neck. It really looks like an accessory made for children. If it was made for little ones I might feel differently about it. The cutesy color and quirky details would all make a little more sense. But for grown women with the pocket change to fund a hundred dollar carryall? I don't think so.

Springtime may be long gone, but you can hang onto a little sunshine all year round with this Magid Florals tote.

The vibrantly colored blooms contrast with the white fabric, giving this tote a cheerful lift. It's not the most contemporary design I've seen. In fact, I think my grandmother would love this bold floral. But with just the right amount of confidence, and a wide-brimmed sun hat, this tote could complete the casual outfit of a woman of any age.

This is a spacious tote, ideal for carrying daily essentials and a few luxuries besides. However, you may struggle to keep all those girly goodies organized. There's just one zippered pocket and a cell phone slip. That's just not enough to keep such a massive space in check. Whatever will we do with our iPods?

The straps are also a little disappointing. While the flat fabric design is made for comfort, they're not quite long enough to easily slip over our shoulder. An extra inch or two would have made all the difference.

For all its limitations, this Magid tote is a sizeable bag with a distinctive design. It's reasonably priced for a day bag too at just $62.00.

When I think of L.A.M.B. handbags, my mind automatically goes to bold colors and structured shapes. It's not that Gwen Stefani's line of bags is limited to that. I just tend to think of it first since there are so many in the collection resembling that description.

Similar to the Morant and the Cambridge styles, the Rowland Mini Doctor satchel has a look all of its own. The uniquely fabric-textured treatment on the main body of the tote adds an interesting visual appeal. I really can't say whether or not the material is particularly sturdy, but it does appear to be somewhat sturdy and stain-resistant.

Just like the celebrity designer's personal style, the Rowland combines classic, sophisticated elements with funky trends from today. The traditional doctor handbag shape contrasts with the ultra-contemporary abstract print that continues around the satchel. If you look closely, you can pick out the letters of the brand name included in the design. Women who prefer simpler versions of the doctor silhouette will probably find this L.A.M.B. one a tad busy for their taste, but it's just the sort of thing you can expect to see from the designer.

Despite the fact that handbag lovers will probably spot the Rowland as a L.A.M.B. just from the style alone, any label confusion will be avoided altogether thanks to the printed logo, trademark number, and year established on the front of the bag. I was a little disappointed to learn that the handbag's $325 price tag doesn't warrant leather trim, but the Rowland Mini Doctor's manmade upper isn't enough to turn me off of this satchel entirely.

Like the Weekender II Duffel Bag, no one could accuse this Weekender Print Crossbody of lacking in organizational qualities. Though significantly smaller than the average-sized duffel, the crossbody still has its fair share of pockets and other practical features.

We're starting to hit the time of year where canvas material is on its way out of stores and replaced with fabrics like velvet and corduroy. With its floral cotton print, there's no mistaking the Weekender Crossbody with a fall or winter accessory. However, that doesn't mean you can't enjoy it during the last bit of warm weather or at least stock up for the spring.

My favorite part of the canvas print is the blend of colors. The yellows, blues, and greens on this version are just too pretty to ignore. This bag also comes in a darker color combo including fuchsia, which might be better at transitioning from summer to autumn, but personally I prefer the blues and greens.

The Weekender Print Crossbody is more than just a pretty purse, though. In addition to the front pouch, there's exterior zippered storage and more zip and slip pockets inside. The style of the bag is flat, which makes it comfortable for crossbody carrying since it falls around the hip.

The long strap is detacable, though I'm not really sure why since that basically renders the bag useless. It's not one of those convertible designs that becomes a clutch when you take off the strap, but I guess Fossil was going for a classic crossbody look with utilitarian style. This practical and pretty canvas handbag is admirably affordable at only $78.
