Making style statements, not war, is the philosophy of Parisian designers Yves Andrieux and Vincent Jalbert. The duo turns canvas military goods into sophisticated fashion items and home accessories.
“I love the material,” Jalbert says of the recycled canvas. “It’s beautiful, and it’s impossible to find this quality with anything else.“
With his partner, Jalbert uses canvas army tents and other military equipment to create everything from tote bags and blazers to pillows and throw rugs. The designers also use woolen and linen military uniforms and other vintage fabrics in their upcycled collection. Their decision to reuse sourced fabrics ensures every piece Yves Andrieux and Vincent Jalbert make is an original.
Yves Andrieux and Vincent Jalbert recycled products are available from the designers’ Parisian boutique and selected stores in Japan, Italy, the United States, and the United Kingdom.
