EvenOdd Creative Make Green Messengers and Shopping Bags From Reclaimed Billboards, Bike Inner Tubes, and Seatbelts

Self confessed “granola hippie types” Ashley Cellura and Eliza Sullivan have turned their passion for living green into a thriving handbag business. Their EvenOdd Creative accessories are hand-crafted from reclaimed vinyl billboards, bike inner tubes, and seatbelts found in their neighborhood.

Their materials are often donated by local businesses keen to offload their waste.

We go to car dealerships, festivals, and everyone is starting to help us,” explained Ms. Cellura. “They say they just throw the stuff away, and it’s awesome if we take it. It’s just hard work getting out there and letting people know we can reuse them.

EvenOdd Creative’s range features messengers and grocery bags affordably priced between $20 and $60. In future we can look forward to the brand releasing more formal clutch purses and accessories incorporating the designers’ own artworks.

EvenOdd Creative handbags are sold at the South Wedge boutique Thread and online through the EvenOdd Creative store.
