Is it just me or does Christy Turlington seem to be everywhere lately? She recently starred in Bally’s steamy spring and summer ads, and now she’s rumored to be the top choice for Yves Saint Laurent’s fall campaign.
Of course, she’s not the only one whose face is popping up again. The once-reigning supermodels of past decades have returned with a vengeance. Claudia Schiffer, Naomi Campbell, and Jerry Hall are just a few famous (and miraculously ageless) modeling faces reappearing of late.
The up-and-coming models and the starlets had better beware. These women have returned to claim their fair share of the fashion ads. Though many brands are still opting for celebrities, like Katie Holmes for Miu Miu or Victoria Beckham for Emporio Armani, I’m glad to see that the supermodels still have their place.
More news to come regarding the rumors of Christy Turlington for YSL. For now, we’ll just have to satisfy our model obsession with Claudia Schiffer and Ferragamo.
