Supermodel Claudia Schiffer Face of Salvatore Ferragamo’s Spring Summer 2009 Advertisements

Forget the new breed. Classic supermodels are the flavor of the month as our favorite designers release their spring/summer advertising campaigns. Christy T's done Bally, Kate Moss is modeling for Versace, and now Claudia Schiffer has put her face to Salvatore Ferragamo's new line.

And what a face it is. As she steadily approaches 40 Claudia's still not showing even a hint of a crease or wrinkle. I’m jealous!

Claudia may look fab, but her clutch takes the oversized trend a little too far in my opinion. Can you imagine lugging such a large purse around at your next party? Salvatore should have just added a strap and made it a shoulder bag, because it's just as bulky. But I can't fault the color. The bold citrus green is perfect for the new season. And legendary exotics like this snakeskin never go out of style.

This ad campaign is the brainchild of Stephen Gan, who's stepped out from behind the lens to play artistic designer. Famed fashion photographer Mario Testino has brought Gan's vivid vision to life with saturated hues which have me craving a Mediterranean vacation, or at least warmer weather!
