Burberry Prorsum is Burberry’s experimental line. I have always thought that it was more interesting than the brand’s standard fare, as it is more fanciful and bizarre. This Cadet bag certainly lives up to my expectations, in a beautiful and unusual way.
The dark brown ombre calf hair on this Cadet bag is amazing. It has so much natural variation, and so many small, unique details that give the already rich texture of the bag extra dimension. The deep brown leather trim adds smooth contrast to this texture, and makes it seem that much more rich.
The medium crescent shape of the Cadet is clean and chic. It is enhanced by the bamboo-inspired leather piping that goes all the way around the bottom of the bag and the elegant handle decorated with brass plates. The brass hardware is another amazing addition. It gives the bag an antique look that goes well with the raw, organic materials.
I am in awe of the attention to detail in this bag. Its earthy beauty makes it seem worth $1,695, even if I’ll never be able to afford it myself.
