It looks like designers had royalty on the mind when designing their Fall accessories collections. The upcoming season will bring on a rush of jeweled embellishments and luxurious fabrics that are guaranteed to call to mind crowns and scepters.
Some of the designers getting on board with this accessories trend include Phillip Lim, Roger Vivier, Vera Wang, Judith Leiber, and Juicy Couture (no surprise with that one since their logo is a crown). WWD’s new slideshow highlights some of the most luxurious picks for handbags, shoes, and jewelry.
I’m not sure how well some of these Tudor-inspired items will translate to everyday use, but I can definitely imagine glamming up a simple cocktail dress with one of those jewel-encrusted Judith Leiber minaudieres. Every gal needs to feel like a queen every so often, right?
