Furla Little Prince Bag

Furla Little Prince BagArtistic duo Leitmotiv has already injected Furla bags with whimsical patterns from Alice in Wonderland and Wizard of Oz. For their latest Furla collection, Juan Caro and Fabio Sasso have again looked to the world of literature; their new line is inspired by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s children’s tale The Little Prince.

The spring/summer 2011 collection features prints which retrace the steps of the beloved fictional character. Planets adorn the glossy surfaces of the accessories which might have accompanied the prince on his exciting adventures.

The cute range features handbags, shoppers, briefcases, and cosmetic purses each adorned with a clasp featuring the message revealed by the children’s tale. They’re relatively affordable for a capsule line at $275 to $295.

With recent fashion collections featuring Disney characters, Barbie, and now children’s fictional figures it seems that reverting to childhood is the next big thing in fashion. Do you embrace the movement, or do you find it all a bit juvenile?
