Candy Wrapper Bag

This bag was made from candy wrappers that would have ended up in the landfill, which makes it not only super cute, but eco-friendly as well. It reminds us of the Capri Sun bag, but in a cute, pocket-sized coin purse version. It looks like there are many kinds of candy wrappers to satisfy everyone's preferences, and there are fun colors to boot!

Saddle Bag

This may possibly be the only saddle bag any woman wants. It's great for showing off a western flair and the perfect bag for true cowgirls. It also looks durable, which is definitely a plus. We just want to know how much it stores and how you carry it. Maybe you can just hold it by the horn. And don't we all wish it came with a free pony attached?

The $52k Bag

This Louis Vuitton Tribute bag is made in France and is a patchwork mess of 14 Louis Vuitton bags. Louis Vuitton has definitely made a mark on the fashion industry, and many LV bags remain classics to this day. Somehow I don't imagine it to be the case with this one, despite the hype. Only 24 were made and Beyonce Knowles is one of the lucky owners of this $52,000 purse.

Undergarments Exposed

Many people like to keep their undergarments concealed under clothing, but others are proud to show them off. This bag celebrates the latter. These were in about seven years ago, no joke. They are stiff, have small entry zippers and only get so unique. Corsets are still in, but it will be up to you whether or not carrying this around town is an option.

A Bag Against Breast Cancer

Handbags made from bras are popular and are generally made and sold as a way to promote the fight against breast cancer and promote awareness. These are fairly simple to construct and make a positive statement. Although you may not carry it around on a daily basis due to the size and functionality, the cause is close to all of our hearts, so you should take the chance to fight it however you can.

Skunk Fur by Fendi

Although the skunk is not the best loved animal anywhere, we're sure PETA still doesn't appreciate this Fendi skunk fur purse. Does anyone know if skunk fur is soft though? Getting too close to one anywhere else would be a hazard. With such detail, this bag may be too much for some to handle. Decorated with the fur of a skunk, many would say this bag really stinks.

Chinese Take Out Bag

Love Chinese take out? This is the handbag for you. The design is clever and creative, to say the least. The use of materials to craft a small purse into the likeness of a take-out box speaks for itself. Just be sure to keep things straight; you wouldn't want anyone to dump noodles into your purse, unless you don't have anything else to pack your leftovers in.

Chicken Feet

Everyone loves a bag with form and function; classic structure mated with a creative twist make this accessory quite unique. We're sure this handbag is sure to get second looks. To protect the bottom of the bag from scuffs, it actually has feet. And not just any feet either; they are chicken feet. It looks like it's about to run away!

Toad Bag

This strange looking bag looks like an oversized toad. What's not to love? Plenty. Wait a second, you're right; it is an oversized toad. We don't have to get into all the issues you may come across carrying this beaut, like nausea and ugly looks, but one has to wonder how much actually fits inside of the bag. If nothing else, it can function as a glorified cell phone case.

A Swinging Dead Cat Bag

The design of this dead cat bag may not be a favorite for cat lovers, but it's definitely an attention getter. It doesn't look easy to carry, with an inflexible bar as the handle. It also seems relatively small, which wouldn't allow for many goodies, despite how inconveniently wide the purse is. How does it open? We hope it doesn't follow anatomy.

Peacekeeper Bag

Live in a rough neighborhood? This purse has a brass knuckle handle that shows thugs you're not to be messed with. But really, most reasonably sized purses can function as a decent whacker. We think this is more of a statement of attitude than statement of actual functionality. Although, it looks like the handle is removable, so you can get down to business if need be.

Russian Doll Handbag

This absolutely precious handbag is made from the outermost Russian nesting doll. It's unusual and completely irresistible. It would be a great little accessory for a night out on the town, and the classic colors allow for easy matching with many outfits. A wonderful plus is that it appears able to hold more than just a tube of lipstick, maybe ID, your cell, and some cash, which is something we all look for in a formal handbag.

Alexander Wang Tina Bag | Cream Leather Handbag with Zippered Pockets

Posted on: Nov 9

Alexander Wang is one of those designers who rarely gets it wrong. His 1980s inspired accessories somehow combine the current taste for retro goodies with classic fashion sensibilities. Perhaps it's the absence of fluorescent hues and outlandish designs which help Alexander Wang's bags stand the test of time.

The Tina Zip Clutch is in keeping with Alexander Wang’s signature style. While it's called a clutch, its large size makes it a little ungainly for hand-held carrying. Thankfully the purse can easily convert to a cross-body bag by attaching the luxuriously long strap. The Tina makes the most of its supersized appearance with plenty of pockets for maximum storage potential.

Security is the name of the game, with all exterior pockets closing with shiny silver zips. The hardware adds a little attitude, although this cream-colored purse never appears too rock and roll. If you'd prefer a little more edge, consider the black or denim blue Tinas.

While it doesn't have the bad girl appeal of the others, I think this more virginal Tina is the best showcase for the pebbly textured finish. It just begs to be touched! Of course, you'll have to keep this pale-colored purse away from red wine and dirty motorcycles. That creamy shade is guaranteed to show stains if it's not handled with care.

Like so many Alexander Wang bags, the Tina is relatively affordable at $590.

More Features of This Alexander Wang Pocket Purse

  • An inside pocket
  • Zip top closure
  • A detachable strap with an 18 inch drop
  • Measures 11.5 x 9 inches

Botkier Logan Shopper | Soft Leather Handbag with Zippers and Tassels

Posted on: Nov 3

I've counted myself among Botkier fans for some time now, but I'm starting to like the brand more and more as its newest handbags are released.

Some of the brand's styles just seems to get better as it evolves, and this Logan shopper is a perfect example, in my opinion. Soft leather, zippers, and tassels aren't new additions to the label's signature look, but seem a slightly better improvement upon other styles like the Jackie and Vixen of past seasons. I even kind of like the name better, though that has absolutely no bearing on the quality of design.

Although it's a fairly simple style of handbag, the Logan shopper has all the makings of a fashionable, well-made accessory. The high-quality, soft leather is what I would expect from a bag that costs a whopping $625. The understated details, however, are what make it current and chic.

Unlike some designs that take tassel and zipper features to the extreme and overwhelm a style, the Logan shopper simply adds a few here and there on the exterior. The tassels function as zipper pulls for the one horizontal and two vertical zippered pockets on the front. I'm not sure how practical two vertical zippered pockets that unzip all the way to the bottom of the bag would be, but they do add a little edge to this otherwise laid-back handbag.

More Features of the Logan Shopper

  • Measures 17.5 x 16 x 4 inches
  • Double handles with 7.5 inch drop
  • Magnetic closure
  • Exterior zippered pockets

Matt & Nat Kala Clutch | Edgy Black Vegan Leather Purse

Posted on: Oct 22

No red carpet glamourpuss, the Kala clutch from Matt & Nat is all about punk rock attitude.

When it's a Matt & Nat original, you know you're not going to get calf or lamb skin, but the brand's all-vegan fabric is a pretty nice substitute. The pewter version is too glitzy for my tastes, but I love the edgy appeal of this black bag. It makes the gunmetal zips and rivets up front look just a little more rock and roll. But those zippers aren't simply for aesthetics. They open to reveal secure pockets which help the clutch work overtime.

The Kala is on the oversized side, which makes it a viable option for a day out or a night at the club. There's a lot more space than we usually see in a clutch, and a secure closure (zippered of course) for your peace of mind. The spacious size is a bit of a double-edged sword though. There's no strap or handle, so you'll need to carry this clutch the old-fashioned way. You might not mind that at first, but if you've got a lot of errands to run or a big night on the dance floor planned you may want to think twice.

The $185 retail value seems a little steep for a non-leather clutch, but its everyday versatility might make it worth a splurge.

More Features of This Matt & Nat Vegan Clutch

  • Faux suede lining
  • A rear zippered pocket inside
  • Measures 9 x 9 inches
  • Made in China

Kooba Blake Shoulder Bag | Bright Orange Patent Leather Carryall

Posted on: Oct 17

With its bright orange finish and massive size, it's impossible to ignore a bag like Kooba's Blake.

It's crafted from patent leather, but the surface isn't as glossy as many on the market. It’s a good thing too, because a color this bright doesn't need to look more daring! To that end, Kooba keeps the design simple. A contemporary shape, a little stitching, and a splash of silver hardware is all that's needed to add interest.

At first glance, it's easy to miss the large zippered pockets which run down the sides of the bag. But don't underestimate these practical pouches. They provide a convenient place for stashing your keys and sunglasses, away from the expanse of the oversized interior.

It's really hard to keep such a big bag organized, but Kooba tries to help by including more pockets than the average. The obligatory zip and slip pouches are complemented by a penholder and handy key-chain.

The Blake shoulder bag is also available in crisp white and green varieties.

More Features of This Kooba Oversized Shoulder Bag

  • Magnetic snap closure
  • Dual shoulder straps with a 9.5 inch drop
  • Measures 22.5 x 1 x 15 inches

Treesje Divino Shoulder Bag | Lambskin Leather Purse with Ruffles and Zippers

Posted on: Oct 13

Ruffled detail isn't something I'm accustomed to seeing on a design from the typically edgy and trendy brand Treesje. So this Divino shoulder bag with its use of the feminine accent definitely caught my eye.

The way that the tiny ruffles are added to the edges of the front and back zippered pockets as well as the top of the purse give the Divino just a hint of subtle femininity. I'm not sure anyone would categorize this design as a ruffled handbag since the detail is so understated, as opposed to the much more obvious use of the accent we saw on the Jessica Simpson Runway satchel.

It's certainly not enough to scare off gals who tend to go for edgy styles since the Divino also has plenty of trendy stitching and zippered details to satisfy that population of shoppers. However, I can also see it appealing to women who prefer a little girliness to their handbags as well. Treesje managed to touch on just the right amount of both styles without going overboard. Of course, that won't appeal to the extremes of each personal taste, but it's a nice medium of the two looks.

This version of the Divino shoulder bag is a decent size with comfortable, thick straps ideal for everyday use. If you like bigger dimensions when it comes to purses, there's actually a Divino Grande design that offers the same overall look in a slightly larger size.

More Features of the Divino Shoulder Bag

  • Measures 13 x 11.5 x 4 inches
  • Double handles with 7.5 inch drop
  • Zip top closure with flap detail

Big Buddha Sedona Shoulder Bag | Large Synthetic Handbag with Zippers and Woven Details

Posted on: Sep 26

Big Buddha is always a brand that comes to mind when I'm looking for an affordable but trendy handbag. There are, of course, many other fashion labels that serve one or both of those needs, but I know I can count on Big Buddha for a cute purse that costs less than $100.

You can't really expect lambskin leather or supple suede in that price range, but the details and designs are where the brand gets it so right. The Sedona Shoulder bag fits right in with its trusty style.

There are several things going on with the Sedona, but somehow I'm not overwhelmed by it all. Maybe that's because the details are spread out over the bag's large size. It's right on trend with woven details and slightly angled, zippered pockets. The pockets flank vertical strips of the weaving on the front, but unfortunately it's only the woven detail that continues on the back of the purse. I'm just glad to see that the back isn't completely bare of detail like so many other bags out there.

The Sedona is supported by slim double handles. At first glance, I thought they seemed a little small in proportion to the size of the bag. However, shorter, chunkier straps might have contrasted too much with the delicate look of the weaving. Unless you plan to carry some seriously heavy gear in this Big Buddha handbag, I think the handles will do just fine.

More Features of the Sedona Shoulder Bag

  • Measures 17.5 x 9.75 x 4 inches
  • Double handles with 7.5 inch drop
  • Sunken zipper closure
  • Interior zippered pocket
  • Synthetic material

Lodis Krush Lola Tote | Ruched Leather Handbag with Expansion Zippers

Posted on: Sep 23

We've fallen for Lodis purses, whether they're smart and sensible like the Audrey Formal Clutch or as glamorous as the Haley Starlet. Now with the Krush Lola Tote, we see what the brand can do on a larger scale.

This is a bag which strikes that delicate balance between style and functionality. It's got both in spades, which make it ideal for girls looking for that elusive everyday bag. The suppleness of the buttery soft leather is emphasized with feminine ruching along the top and sides. The long zips running from top to bottom add edge to that soft look, but their appeal is more than merely aesthetic. Unzip them and you'll add a little extra storage space.

Although, only the most dedicated packrat will require the additional room. This is already a spacious tote with enough organizational features to keep up. A handy keychain joins two multifunctional slips and a zippered pouch, ensuring you'll always know where your essentials are.

This shade is called apricot, although it's much closer to orange. This vibrant hue would be a great addition to any fall wardrobe, although the coal bag may be a little more versatile. The Lodis Krush Lola Tote is also available in lemon.

More Features of This Lodis Ruched Tote

  • Zip top closure
  • Canvas lined interior
  • Dual shoulder straps with a 7 inch drop
  • Measures 16 x 15.5 x 5 inches
  • Made in China

Marc by Marc Jacobs Sasha Shoulder Bag | Edgy Black Leather Handbag With Zippers And Sparrows

Posted on: Sep 21

If I don't stop gushing about Marc Jacobs, people are going to start thinking that I'm a spy from the company sent to BagBunch to trump up his stuff. I'm not, I swear, and as evidence, here's a bag by Marc Jacobs that I hate. All that being said, the man is a genius, and this bag is proof.

It's also proof that you can incorporate a lot of trends in a design and still make it look wearable. The Sasha has all the black leather badassitude that I'm coming to expect from the fall season, plus asymmetry, plus zippers, plus sparrows? Yeah, they're not really a trend, except to people who are into psuedo-tattoo sort of stuff.

The slouchiness of the bag makes it look really downtown and ultra-hip, but all the pockets and pouches make it really practical. There's the front flap pocket, two front zipper pockets, and the main compartment. I won't even go into the inside, but it is equally compartmentalized.

I love compartmentalization, but this might be a bit much. I probably just wouldn't use the front zipper pockets. Well, maybe to hide an in-case-of-shopping-emergency hundred dollar bill. And the sparrows I could do without, but they miraculously don't bother me as much as I would expect. They're a little bit of sweet on a bag with a lot of sass. Maybe it needs that?

More Features Of The Marc by Marc Jacobs Sasha Shoulder Bag

  • 16" x 12" x 6" size
  • 18" handle drop
  • Paisley print lining
  • Two interior pouch pockets
  • Interior zipper pocket
