Sometimes little known handbag designers can produce a great looking purse. The quality may not be the same as legendary fashion-houses, but this reasonably priced bag can bring a dose of bold 60s goodness to your look.

In my humble opinion 60s fashion, with its funky geometric prints and bright colors, never really goes out of style. The colors may clash with some of your outfits, but print mixing is currently "cool" and this will work in this purse's favor.

Now, whilst the checkerboard squares are great looking, this Eenamaria bag is somewhat lacking in shape. It can't seem to decide between being thin and elegant, or chunky and spacious. Of course both have advantages, but combined it makes for a 60s clutch with a wide bottom and a narrow top, finished with a strange gold chain.

All in all this is an affordable and accessible clutch, that looks good but doesn't necessarily carry that design through to completion.

This foldout wallet is full of pockets and pouches, although don't over-stuff if you want a fashionable looking purse!

This tote definitely hits transparency on the head, with its psychedelic and bold pattern on a backing of durable clear vinyl. Thankfully you get the kudos of the sexy see-through plastic with enough privacy to mean people don't have to see your Tampax at the bottom of your bag.

It ain't graceful, but it's true!

The shape of this large tote is perhaps a bit too simplistic. There isn't really any elegance in the stiff angular square shape, and the curved black handles make you wish for more cohesive lines in the tote itself. However, this Tepper Jackson shopper is lent more credibility by the great and retro sixties pattern.

In functionality and practicality, here is a great handbag that hits plenty of trends. Graphic and bold, it is great fun!

Harveys, creators of the stylish and environmentally friendly seat-belt bags, have now expanded their range to include this bright and colorful tote. The woven bags, made out of old seat-belts, have been suitably dressed up for the occasion.

Taking on a patchwork quality, you can get these medium totes in color combinations "Peaches & Cream", "Blue Grass" or the more dramatic "Carnivale". All three varieties are bright and attractive, but I particularly recommend Peaches & Cream, with its leaning towards delicate corals and warm earth tones - it's so on trend!

I have to admit that these bags are probably so successful and fashionable due to their novelty factor. Harveys have after all been featured in magazines from teens to crafts, and now sponsor their own range of crafts shows. They aren't the type of classic design that will be sexy forever, but are definitely worth a shot if you like quirky vibrant items with an interesting story behind them. They are suitable for a number of situations, although look most at home on trips to the shops or during the day - the size means this tote would look out of place on a heaving dance floor.

The interior of this bag is quite delightful. A bright sixties pattern jumps out in orange and pink, reminding me of the drug and love-filled heydays of the psychedelic generation. That said, you won't be blinded looking at the print - so no need to worry!

Thankfully, you do also get practicality, something often left out in bags with a big visual punch. You have the metal feet to protect your hold-all from wear and tear, as well as interior pockets and brilliantly long handles. An excellent and bold handbag that is great for making a style statement.

Hobo International has paired vintage styling with a mod sensibility to create this surprising Morgan shoulder bag.

The front flap compartment, with its large button detail and laid-back slouch, is straight out of the sixties. But the kiss-lock compartment and delicate shoulder strap hark back further than that, giving the purse a surprising vintage twist. The two styles could so easily clash, but strangely they seem almost at home together here.

The two compartments are perfect for keeping your life in order. The flap section has space for your cell phone and keys, while the back has more pockets and pouches for pens and a few more gadgets. There's also a handy zippered pocket for stashing spare change and valuables.

The dainty shoulder strap might add to the Morgan's vintage charm, but I can't help having reservations about it. If you fill this purse, such a skinny strap is bound to dig into your shoulder, or worse. It may be high-quality leather, but I'm not certain such a narrow strap is built to last everyday wear!

Take one look at Bulga's other bag styles compared to this new Bulgaette Clutch, and you'll most likely be as confused as I am about it.

It's just the sort of retro print and light-hearted design I'd expect from a designer like Emilio Pucci, but this clutch doesn't scream typical Bulga to me like the label's other leather numbers like Butterfly Bag and De Beber Satchel.

Despite it's lack of what I consider signature Bulga style, the Bulgaette is one of the cutest, quirkiest clutches I've seen in a while. I'm really digging on the bold sixties mod print. It has an undeniable vintage quality, as if you scored it after days of vintage shop-hopping.

One of the Bulgaette's details that does fit right in with many of Bulga's current designs is the addition of silver studs along the border of the front flap. I also like how the stark white leather contrasts with the vibrant colors of the satin body.

Because of its diminutive size, the Bulgaette Clutch is one of the most affordable Bulga's I've seen, ringing in at only $125. It's not the kind of bag you'll carry often, but you're bound to get plenty of compliments when you do.

Laury is one of those names that makes me think of men in their sixties wearing plaid. It may have vintage looks, but there's nothing dated about Cole Haan's Laury satchel.

The angular shape and patent leather is a little bit retro, but that's offset by the Laury's fun striped texture. This cross-hatched design is best seen on the mermaid blue and ruby sugar purses, but if you want to tone things down you can always opt for basic black. I could have done without the tassel zipper pull, but it's certainly no deal breaker.

The exterior may evoke a simpler time, but inside the Laury is all about modern conveniences. The space isn't enormous, but it's long and deep enough to handle bulky novels or wallets. Slip pockets take care of your cell phone and PDA, while the zippered pocket has your valuables covered.

Braided handles are always beautiful, but I'm not sure these really mesh with the rest of the Laury. Their chunky design will make them strong, but something thinner would have been a much better match.
