Most Prezzo purses I've spotted are strictly after five affairs, with polished patent leathers, glittering sequins, and plenty of flair. So this Flower Shop handbag from the brand really comes out of left field.

This purse reminds me of a Radley bag, with its embroidered flower shop and playful personality. The vibrant thread contrasts with its black fabric background, ensuring the design really pops. It may not have the sequins and sass of many Prezzo purses, but a shrinking violet it is not.

Of course, that embroidered pattern is sure to polarize bagistas. Many will love its whimsical, almost Parisian look, while others will consider it juvenile and without charm. If you fall into the former camp, the design isn't likely to change your mind. Many fabric bags forget the features, but this isn’t one of them. There's a zippered pocket on the back, and another one inside. There's also a slip pouch which is perfect for holding your cell. A zip top closure keeps everything safe and sound.

For a mere $14.99, this is a fun bag for a trip to the farmers' markets or a picnic. It won't go with everything, or suit every occasion, but for that price I'm willing to overlook those limitation.

Gucci Irina Tote Bag | Bohemian Heart Studded White Leather Handbag

Gucci is a label associated with classic style and sophistication ... but there's little of that here. The bohemian styling of the Irina may perplex die-heart Gucci-ites, but it's found new fans amongst free-spirited stylistas.

The basic white leather body is jazzed up with gleaming gold accents. The centerpiece is the flowery detail crafted from large golden hearts. The hearts and flowers theme might be perfect for the hippie crowd, but the execution is a little off for me. Honestly, it looks like something I'd expect to see in the teen section of a department store. Of course, the brand's still charging Gucci prices. This tote will set you back a whopping $2650. The price seems inflated, but what do I know? These babies walked off the shelves on their release, buoyed by their popularity amongst starlets like Lindsay Lohan.

The exterior doesn't impress me, and inside it's not much better. The zippered pocket and solo slip pouch might be adequate for a space this size, but I expect more than adequate when I'm paying more than $2k for it. A few more pockets for girly gadgets and a more luxurious lining would help to appease me.

The Irina tote seems like a bit of a misstep for Gucci, but it's been a popular one nonetheless!

Some say that chocolate is a girl's best friend, so it's no surprise that the accessories brand which shares the name of the sweet treat has made a bag so girly! The Sophia Shoulder Bag is fun, feminine, and frilly!

A traditional shoulder bag shape is dressed up with a ruffled appliqué across the top. The twirls and curls of synthetic fabric looks a little like flowers, which only ups the girly appeal. This pale pink bag is the logical choice for feminine fillies. But the white bag downplays the obvious girlish nature of the Sophia, creating a look that's a little more modern and versatile.

Whichever you pick, you'll be impressed with all the carrying space inside. There's plenty of room for daily essentials, and a few luxuries besides. The zippered pocket and two multifunctional slips work to keep the clutter at bay.

While the design is impressive, the quality is less so. Some may argue that you get what you pay for, and that $93 doesn't buy much. But I've seen synthetics which imitate leather much better, and linings less stiff, for this kind of money.

B. Makowsky Havana N/S Hobo | Soft Ruched Leather Handbag

Here's another installment from B. Makowsky's collection of handbags named after famous cities around the world. There must be something about Havana and hobos, however, since both 7 For All Mankind and Hayden-Harnett have hobos by the same name.

There's aren't too many features that the other brands' versions share with this Havana N/S hobo bag, though, beyond only slightly similar body styles. This option has a very distinct B. Makowsky flair to it that cannot be denied.

As I'd expect from the label, the hardware is bold and noticeable and the design details are numerous. It's not quite as flamboyant as some of the brand's other styles, but there's a definite "notice me" stamp given to this purse. The already slouchy shape is emphasized by a front pocket with ruching all along the top edge, and strap details call even more attention to the front. Even the sides of the hobo are adorned with silver studs and rings. It's a little strange how empty the back of the Havana is in comparison to the rest of the bag. Only a small coin pocket dresses up the back, which seems a little underwhelming.

The lipstick red color is certainly not for wallflowers, though, and it's not your only option for standing out in a crowd with the Havana hobo. For an even bolder look, you might go for this B. Makowsky bag in metallic pewter or bronze instead. The style also comes in subtler colors like black and brown. This N/S style of the Havana handbag retails for $298.

Alexis Hudson Bloom Clutch | Patchwork Snake Print Leather Purse with Zipper Flower Details

This Alexis Hudson clutch is an antidote to all those purses playing it safe. The Bloom is a clutch that believes that too much isn't enough.

The shape is simple enough, with its rectangular design and recessed zipper. But that's about the only part of the Bloom which is low key. Curved swatches of snake print leather are overlaid to create a contemporary patchwork finish. The mushroom, tan, and dark blue shades work well together, but the python markings make it really busy. That's why this clutch really doesn't need the flowers which inspire its name. We recently saw Guiseppe Zanotti use similar zipper edged blooms on its wristlet. On that much simpler purse, they shone. But here they clutter an already crowded design.

The creamy colored interior comes as a shock after seeing the showy outside. The Bloom is lined with practical twill, but there's nothing to rave about here. It's long but slender, restricting us to evening essentials only.

The Bloom is the kind of clutch whose distinct looks will only appeal to certain girls. If it has stolen your heart, beware. Unless you pair it with a basic black ensemble, you're going to look very busy!

Marc by Marc Jacobs Stamped Velvet Clutch | Plush Grey Velvet Clutch With Patent Bow Embellishment

48760 in dlWhile Marc Jacobs is definitely one of my favorite designers, lately the Marc by Marc Jacobs line has left me feeling a little cold. Most of the bag designs are good, but they keep crudding them up with a bunch of logos. I know that some people like that sort of thing, I just don't happen to be one of them.

This bag is a good example of what I'm talking about. The soft, lush great velvet is a fabulous material, and the smooth patent leather bow contrasts with it nicely, but the stamped Marc Jacobs logo is really distracting. I wish they would have gone with a quilted velvet, instead.

Actually, I'm not really sure about a couple things on this bag. There seems to be too many bows on the front, and I just cant tell whether the smaller ones are meant to look like bows or flowers, and for some reason, I find that really irritating.

It's also a little shapeless for my taste. I mean, it looks fine in the picture because it's all stuffed with tissue, but it just isn't going to look that way in reality. After you fill it full of your personal things, I have a feeling it might look a bit lumpy.

Overall, I just don't think this bag is very well executed, and I expect a lot more from Marc Jacobs.

Kathrine Baumann Hexagon Shaped Evening Bag | Medium Jet Floral Jeweled Purse with Metal Strap

Kathrine Baumann is famous for her beautiful, yet entirely impractical, minaudieres. But the designer shows she can craft a usable accessory with this gorgeous evening bag.

At first glance it doesn't look too different from those minaudieres. The body is still studded with Swarovski crystals, creating a floral pattern which is just as dramatic as the rest. But the size and shape make this a lot more functional.

The hexagonal design is a little more interesting than a traditional box shape, but it doesn't compromise storage space. While you could never call it oversized, there's so much more room than you'll find in a minaudiere. You'll still need to leave the luxuries at home, but at least the essentials should fit inside!

Unlike the minaudieres, this purse also comes with an extra long shoulder strap. You could even carry it cross-body style, but that might just undermine its elegance. If you'd rather carry it clutch style, you can easily remove the strap. It's a handy feature which ensures you don't fill up the purse with a strap you’re not using.

Just 500 of these evening purses were made, so it's no surprise to see it priced at $3237.50. Of course, that doesn't make it hurt any less!

Global Elements Beaded Flower Tote Bag | Fun Carryall with Leaf Pattern

When it comes to Global Elements, you never know quite what you're going to get. The label loves to frock up, but it can just as easily keep things casual with bags like this cute Beaded Flower Tote.

While its name suggests springtime blooms, there's just one beaded flower on the bag. Instead, the design is dominated with large leaves. One big leaf appears like a flame leaping across the bag. Just like the flower, it gets its color from thousands of tiny little beads. The other leaves are much subtler, their white beaded outlines providing a silhouette against the black backdrop. This tote has a busy look, with beaded tassels and colored handles completing the vibrant design.

The brightly colored lining matches the handles and flowers. This is a medium sized tote, so it should fit the things you need without tempting you to take extras. That may disappoint fans of the oversized fad, but it's also refreshing not to be weighed down. The lightweight fabric helps that, as do the long shoulder straps. My only criticism is the tie closure. It might be whimsical with its tasseled end, but it's not as secure as a zip or magnetic snap. It's also bound to become annoying before long.

It's not red carpet ready, but at $80 this Global Elements bag is a fun accessory for everyday outings.

While it may look like yarn from a distance the Knit Wit actually features luxurious nappa leather, crocheted to resemble modern blooms. The floral finish adds interest, while bold colors like this naranja orange ensure it doesn't look too girly. The grosgrain lining peeks through the flowers, making sure your small essentials don't slip through the petals.

The open top design makes it easy to retrieve your ringing cell phone from the slip pocket, but it also makes me worry about security. Without a platform base to help it stand up, your goodies are bound to spill when you set this purse down.

The floral finish of this Stuart Weitzman handbag might make you long for spring, but its rich earthy hues are right on trend for the fall season. $598 does seem a little pricy for such a novelty design, but if you're quick you can snag it on Endless for roughly half the price.

Magid Florals Tote Bag | Large White East West Tote with Flowers

Springtime may be long gone, but you can hang onto a little sunshine all year round with this Magid Florals tote.

The vibrantly colored blooms contrast with the white fabric, giving this tote a cheerful lift. It's not the most contemporary design I've seen. In fact, I think my grandmother would love this bold floral. But with just the right amount of confidence, and a wide-brimmed sun hat, this tote could complete the casual outfit of a woman of any age.

This is a spacious tote, ideal for carrying daily essentials and a few luxuries besides. However, you may struggle to keep all those girly goodies organized. There's just one zippered pocket and a cell phone slip. That's just not enough to keep such a massive space in check. Whatever will we do with our iPods?

The straps are also a little disappointing. While the flat fabric design is made for comfort, they're not quite long enough to easily slip over our shoulder. An extra inch or two would have made all the difference.

For all its limitations, this Magid tote is a sizeable bag with a distinctive design. It's reasonably priced for a day bag too at just $62.00.
