Eco-Friendly Rilfa by Scully Accessories for Cyclists and More

This stylish handbag is just one of the chic, and eco-friendly accessories in the conceptual Rilfa line by Scully. The collection was designed with cyclists in mind, but I'd say many fashionistas with an aversion to bikes will still want in on the action.

New Yorker Kathleen Scully was inspired to create the line after noting a need for cycling gear marrying style and safety.

"Riding around Brooklyn, I saw many women riding without helmets or any other safety gear," she told Ecouterre. "I thought that if they had more stylish safety equipment to wear, then we could all be pretty and safe."

The collection includes the bag, cute ankle booties, gloves, and a ventilated helmet cloche. Each is crafted from organic wool, vegan leather, and reflective trim for those night rides.

It's all in the concept stage yet, but if the line goes into production Ms. Scully plans to offer a take-back program that will utilize scrap materials in future programs. I like what I see, so fingers crossed that the Rilfa line goes ahead.
