Ashley Greene has reprised her role as the face of DKNY for the fashion house’s fall 2012 campaign.
The Twilight actress looks very chic in the advertisement, which sees her wearing an on-trend flared dress and carrying a large top handled satchel. It’s not just the Manhattan location that sees this commercial channeling Mad Men.
The New York location makes a lot of sense, as DKNY says its cool weather collection is made for busy city girls.
“Sweet and strong, pretty and tough, smart and street, this season’s campaign voyeuristically and strikingly documents a slice of Ashley Greene’s life in the city,” the label’s press release reads.
The line shows DKNY all grown up. Black features prominently, but animal prints and florals help provide a bit of pop. Leather’s also been used heavily in accessories like handbags and belts, as well as apparel items including skirts and jacket sleeves.
Peter Lindbergh hasn’t reinvented the wheel here, but he’s shot a sophisticated advertisement campaign which sells the label’s apparel and accessories, as well as its image, really well. But we’d expect nothing less from the man who’s also photographed marketing materials for elegant fashion houses like Giorgio Armani and Prada.
