Anya Hindmarch isn't letting an unfortunate strain of burglaries get her spirits down. In fact, the handbag designer must be on cloud nine right now after a recent meeting with the Queen at Buckingham Palace.

Hindmarch attended a reception at the palace this past Tuesday, June 2, to be awarded a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE). She was recognized due to her contribution to Britain's fashion industry, and I have to agree with the British royalty on this one. From her quirky "I'm Not a Plastic Bag" tote to the sleek Jackson Shoulder Bag, Hindmarch's styles are always chic and popular.

It must have been an exciting moment for the designer since the Queen herself pinned on the award. Hindmarch described her enthusiasm:

"It was such a fantastic honour and a really special experience. It made me feel so proud to be British!"
