Super Earth Goods is a green accessories company hailing from Indonesia, the fourth most populous country in the world. With all those people comes a whole lot of waste, a problem this sustainable label looks to reduce.
Super Earth Goods workers visit second-hand stores, markets, garages, and other local sites in search of discarded items needing a new lease on life. It upcycles these materials to create green handbags and footwear including laptop sleeves from rice sacks and men’s shirts, shopping bags made from used tire tubes, and drawstring duffels made from coffee sacks.
It might sound a bit icky to create accessories from trash, but the green materials are washed thoroughly before being hand-assembled by Indonesian families. This process results in items that are as fashionable and functional as they are eco-friendly. And as Super Earth Goods uses found objects, each accessory is a true original with tons of character.
Super Earth Goods accessories are available from selected stores in Indonesia, Singapore, and The Netherlands, as well as the label’s online store and the Bottica website. Pieces start at €25 for the label’s straw beach bag and top €175 for the Camo Bag made from a vintage army shirt with recycled truck tire tube straps.
