Timmy Woods has really gone all out with this Luscious cross-body bag.
The designer’s turned to her favorite acacia wood to create her pouty lips purse, but figured it needed more glamour. And does anything say glamour like Swarovski crystals? Woods has covered this cross-body in hundreds of the faceted gem, upping the wow factor and the price at the same time.
That price, a whopping $2240 is pretty difficult to swallow. Ordinarily we can pick up a Timmy Woods purse for a few hundred dollars, so this is a real jump. The presence of Swarovski crystals certainly makes it worth more, but that much more? The jury’s still out there. And even if it is worth that amount, would you willingly spend it?
I’m in two minds about this. This purse is loads of fun, and pretty to boot. It doesn’t afford us a lot of storage space, but I could probably live with that. I’m just not sure I can stomach its black rope strap, as it really cheapens the Luscious’ appearance, a real no-no at this price point.
It’s also more than a little derivative of the designs of the original lips lover, Ms Lulu Guinness. Is that lack of originality a deal breaker for you?
