Will Sofia Coppola make the move from Louis Vuitton model to designer? It’s rumored that the acclaimed film director plans to create a line of Louis Vuitton handbags and shoes.
According to sources the French luxury brand will launch Sofia’s collection in Japan before rolling it out around the world.
Sofia has long been associated with the iconic design house. She’s often seated in the front row of Louis Vuitton’s fashion shows around the world, and she’s currently starring with her father Francis Ford Coppola in LV’s “core values” advertising campaign.
It’s also not the award-winning director’s first foray into fashion. As a teen, Sofia completed an internship with Chanel. Then after graduating from the California Institute of Arts, she launched Milk fed, a clothing line available exclusively in Japan.
What kind of fashion statement will one of Marc Jacob’s favorite muses create? I’d wager the accessories will be just as cool and classic as Sofia herself!
