Tinsley Mortimer has launched her latest collection for Japanese handbag brand Samantha Thavasa. The New York socialite celebrated the launch of her fifth collection for the label with a party at Samantha Thavasa’s Madison Avenue store.
Tinsley’s fall collection for Samantha Thavasa offers a flirty, feminine take on the retro 80s trend. Tinsley herself is a product of the 80s, and clearly embraces the decade’s music. Nostalgia buffs will love the musical accessory names like Guns N Roses, Metallica, and Poison. The glam rock influences are obvious in the designs too, with laser cut leather and acid-wash like tie-dyed finishes. But Tinsley hasn’t forgotten the girly style she’s famous for. I particularly like the corset-style lacing which evokes sexy lingerie. I’m not sure about all the designs, but there are some really interesting pieces in this collection.
Tinsley Mortimer’s latest collection for Samantha Thavasa will be available soon at the brand’s only American store in New York and its other outlets around the globe.
