Ralph Lauren has opened the doors of his New York City women’s flagship store. The boutique, located at 888 Madison Avenue, is a complement to the men’s flagship store which stands in the historic Rhinelander Mansion across the street.
The women’s store is every bit as grand as its masculine counterpart, with four storeys and 22, 000 square footage influenced by the Beaux-Arts architecture of the early 20th century. Inside you’ll find the label’s women’s and homewares collections, along with the first domestic watch and jewelry salon. The regular lines will sit alongside store exclusives including fine jewelry, customized women’s suits, and sleepwear.
With a pigeon pair of flagship stores it seems Ralph Lauren loves New York City, and it appears that the admiration is mutual. Mayor Michael Bloomberg attended the official opening and handed Lauren the key to the city to recognize his contributions to business, philanthropy, and design.
