Vera Wang’s youth line, Princess Vera Wang, will be available exclusively through Kohl’s stores next month.
The youth sizing probably excludes all but the most petite adults from indulging in the Princess Vera Wang apparel items, but the young at heart can always enjoy the line’s accessories. These include a pink quilted clutch purse and other girly handbags, bow-decorated shoes, and funky earrings and necklaces.
In a press release, the new juniors’ line was said to capture Wang’s “vision of playful sophistication and incorporate many of the styling elements and design characteristics for which she is best known, including mixed media and artful whimsy.“
Cosmetics and bridal jewelry will join the line in the future. Cosmetics products make a lot of sense, but bridal jewelry seems a little premature for a collection targeted at teens and college kids. If the pieces aren’t too over the top they could probably suit party wear, but the naming of the category is a bit strange, don’t you think?
Look for Princess Vera Wang goodies at Kohl’s stores from July 9. Prices are expected to be affordable in line with Wang’s Simple Vera collection, which is also available from Kohl’s. Are you tempted to raid the youth section for some of these teen targeted products?
