Pierre Hardy is celebrating the 75th anniversary of DC Comics with this limited edition Superman bag.
The tote featured Pierre Hardy’s favorite new print, an optical illusion with stacked cubes. While that might not inspire comic book geeks, the Superman logo and a racing stripe in the same blue as his suit definitely will. It’s an interesting juxtaposition which the French designer says evokes both the mild-mannered Clark Kent and his heroic alter ego.
“It’s the great hero archetype! I like his double personality; he is also beautiful in Superman as in Clark!” he explained. “The bag is the reflection of both aspects; as if both identities were stacked.“
This is a fun tote, and an exclusive one with each numbered and available at the Colette boutique in Paris. But I still don’t think that justifies the whopping $1857.60 price tag! Hardcore DC Comics fans can get their online at the Colette website.
