This footage was captured at the brand’s annual Bag Throwing, a brilliant and altruistic publicity stunt to celebrate their yearly sample sale. Matt & Nat designer Inder Bedi dropped plenty of purses down to the fashion-conscious women crowding below the brand’s Montreal offices.
The scenes are a little bit chaotic, but I can’t say I blame these bagistas one bit. With everyone feeling the credit crunch, the promise of free handbags is a little hard to resist. In fact, I’m surprised at how well behaved the women are. I thought for sure I’d see a little eye-gouging and hair-pulling! Do you think perhaps those kinds of shenanigans were edited out of the final clip?
