Maison Martin Margiela and H&M were both reluctant to comment on the rumor when approached by the press a few days ago, but it seems they were just waiting to make the announcement in their own sweet time. Perhaps they just needed the extra time to finish the promotional video above!
There promises to be something for everyone in the new range, with apparel items and accessories for men and women. But details about what those pieces will look like, and what we’ll pay for them, are a bit thin on the ground.
Maison Martin Margiela and H&M seem like unlikely bedfellows, but a representative for the fashion house says their shared love of democracy unites them.
“The democracy of our fashion has always been at the centre of our creativity, and the collaboration with H&M allows us to push this instinct further,” the rep said. “We will bring together the contrasting universes of the two houses in ways that will surprise all.“
The Maison Martin Margiela for H&M collection will hit H&M stores around the globe, including the Swedish retailer’s website, on November 15. Hopefully the American e-commerce site will be up and running by then to save us joining the queues! Are you keen for a piece of this collaborative line?
