Lucky Brand will leave its sunny South Californian home for the bright lights of New York City to launch its new handbag collections later this month. The purses will make their debut at a cocktail party near Times Square on January 31.
The Big Apple seems the perfect place to launch the new handbags, as they show us a more fashion-forward side of the American brand.
“It’s all feathers and fringe for the fall,” explained Charlie Cole, Lucky Brand’s vice president of online marketing. “My favorite bags are in the La Jolla Collection and feature a soft, chic feather design created by one of Lucky’s resident artists. They are the perfect bags for the fashion-loving girl.“
The La Jolle range is one of 11 collections to be released in 2011, so we’re really spoiled for choice. They range from slouchy everyday satchels to small cross-body purses, all designed with their Californian home and its casual spirit in mind.
While fashion industry folks will see the new Lucky Brand bags late this month, we’ll have to wait until July to see them in stores. Do you expect they will be worth the wait?
