Louis Vuitton: 100 Legendary Trunks features luggage dating back to the French fashion firm’s inception in 1854. Some of the highlights include suitcases especially made for Hollywood royalty from Douglas Fairbanks to Sharon Stone, and bespoke cases owned by Ernest Hemingway, Damien Hirst, and Leopold Stokowski. These unique trunks have been designed to hold manner of items from beds to bikes and even iPods.
This gorgeous book looks to be the “definitive history of personalized objects of both practicality and luxury,” with 600 images taken from the Louis Vuitton archives and new exclusive photos.
