This backpack is styled like an 80s boombox, with its hot pink trimmed speakers and cassette deck. But what isn’t immediately apparent is that this bag can really play! The front pocket features an MP3 player plug, which allows you to blast your tunes from the genuine speakers!
I say blast, but really the sound that comes out of these speakers isn’t as loud or as crisp as that term implies. Without any kind of amplification, the music sort of whimpers out. In fact, unless you’re in a quiet room you’re probably not going to hear your tunes at all.
But for just $39.99 we probably wouldn’t expect cutting edge stereo sound. This backpack is a bit of a gimmick, and a fun one at that. As a backpack it also works quite well, with plenty of space and zippered pockets for holding small valuables securely. If you take it for what it is, rather than a replacement for your own stereo, this retro backpack is a lot of fun.
