After launching its first footwear line in February, Leifsdottir is ready to expand its accessories range. The Finnish brand will launch its handbags collection this fall.
Leifsdottir creates apparel and accessories for women who are intelligent, spontaneous, and sexy without even trying. Just like the brand itself, she inspired envy and is optimistic about her future.
Like the apparel and footwear ranges that came before it, the handbags will reference Scandinavian design with their bold shapes, sculpted hardware, and distinctive details. However they’ll also incorporate more eastern elements too inspired by creative director Johanna Uurasjarvi’s recent trip to Istanbul. The spicy color palette comes straight from the Turkish bazaars, but the company’s signature hexagon motif is all European.
Look for the Leifsdottir handbags in a range of luxury materials including spotted hair-calf, some lambskin, and crocodile stamped leather. The collection is set to feature a hobo, cross-body bag, duffle purse, and a clever foldable attaché which turns into a clutch. You’ll be able to pick up the smallest Leifsdottir purses from $275, while the most luxurious bags will set you back $995.
Look for them in high end department stores including Neiman Marcus and Bloomingdale’s, selected boutiques, and on the Leifsdottir website this fall.
