A typical collection of Kotur handbags includes minaudieres and evening bags in exotic prints and patterns perfect for special occasions or even red carpet events. Well, now the label is taking its style beyond dressy gatherings and into the world of daytime.
Along with the upcoming spring and summer collection soon to be released, designer Fiona Kotur is adding casual but sophisticated day bags, including shoulder bags and totes, to the brand’s merchandise. The vintage-inspired line, which is apparently influenced by the classic, all-American look of style icons such as Faye Dunaway and Ali McGraw and heavily inspired by the designer’s own personal collection of vintage handbags, will involve some interesting materials ranging from metallic haircalf and python.
The goldleaf haircalf Kotur Wallace Satchel, one design that was stylishly test-driven on fashion forward Gossip Girl, is our first peek at the new look for the label. This day bag collection will make its official debut at Market Week next week and is set to be priced from $600 to $2,000.
