Judith Leiber, if you are reading this, please keep making bags like this one. It’s got kitschy charm and a sparkly glamorous side, but it’s still totally wearable, which is more than I can say for the cupcake clutch. This leopard-spotted, crystal-encrusted bag is a beacon of minimalism in comparison.
The cut crystals on this clutch are a pale gold tone with black leopard spots. Somehow the pattern manages to look both glamorous and subdued at the same time, which is quite an accomplishment for sparkly animal print. The pattern could go very diva or very glam rock, depending on what you choose to pair it with.
The simple shape of this clutch is one of the things that keeps it tasteful. Anything more dramatic would have been too much. The tiny gold chain strap is an elegant and practical touch, but the black and gold push clasp is all Hollywood glitz.
At $2,495, I won’t be running out to buy this clutch anytime soon, but I certainly wouldn’t turn it down as a gift. Hint, hint.
