Ju-Ju-Be has expanded its Legacy collection, a green handbag line made from eco-friendly Earth Leather. Amongst the new accessories are the Be Rich wallet, the Mighty Be tote, and the Be Major wristlet.
We’ve seen plenty of vegan leathers before, but Ju-Ju-Be’s Earth leather is a little bit different. It’s machine washable and lightweight and, at least according to its creators, it looks and feels like the genuine article.
Each Legacy bag is then lined with material that’s protected by an eco-friendly antimicrobial coating. This special layer inhibits the growth of mold, bacteria, and other nasties, so you needn’t worry about your health when you bring your bag out of storage!
Ju-Ju-Be co-founder Kristin Hunziker said the collection gets its name because its creators feel they’re “leaving a legacy for the future. The bags are made with love and concern for the environment and are made to last – they are designed to be a legacy item that is sure to become an heirloom.“
Ju-Ju-Be’s Legacy bags, including the latest models are available from a range of retailers, including Nordstrom stores. They’re also available from the Ju-Ju-Be website. The purses are priced between $20 and $200, so there really is a Legacy bag for all budgets. Which one is your favorite?
