Jil Sander is a pretty low profile line. Much like other minimalists, she doesn’t flood the market with a bunch of different designs. She makes a few cool accessories in different colors and materials and leaves it at that. This Origami clutch makes minimal look totally irresistible.
The orange color of this leather can best be described as “juicy”. It’s straight from the citrus world, and it is beautiful. It’s really eye-catching, but it definitely stops short of neon. The smoothness of the leather is really impressive. It looks almost like plastic, which goes perfectly with the design.
Jil Sander has taken the Origami name very literally on this design. It absolutely looks folded by hand. I love the genius of her simplicity. The color may be hard to match, but why try? I’d mix it with other brights or use it to pop up a monochrome ensemble. It will be beautiful with evening wear or denim.
This is a really great buy for $445. I mean, if this color will work in your wardrobe, then the Origami is an absolutely timeless necessity.
