Jung Inyoung provides power on the go with his innovative new rolling suitcase.
The technologically advanced travel bag collects kinetic energy as it moves along on its rolling wheels. All that energy is stored inside a battery lodged in the case until you need it later. The luggage features a small outlet which seems like it could charge small gadgets using mini-USB cords. Most modern gizmos can make use of those connectors, so I can imagine the rolling suitcase coming in very handy. In theory we’d never see our technology failing on those long haul flights or lengthy layovers. However, how much time do we actually spend dragging our case behind us? Would the time in transit really be long enough to power up the battery? I’m just not sure.
While I’m uncertain how it’d work in the real world, the idea behind this bag is brilliant. I’m also thrilled to see Jung Inyoung’s backed it up with some very chic design work. This rolling bag has a really sophisticated, futuristic look that’s sure to appeal to high flying businessmen and gadget lovers alike.
The designer’s creation is still at the concept stage at this point so we probably shouldn’t hold our breath waiting to get our hands on these travel bags. Can you imagine taking one on your next getaway?
