Henri Bendel is inviting aspiring accessories designers to get creative online for its latest Open See designer casting call.
The Open See concept has been around for more than 40 years. During that time it’s been responsible for kick starting the careers of prominent fashion designers like Anna Sui, James Purcell, Collette Malouf, and Todd Oldham.
But the online entry process is something new, a sign that Henri Bendel is keeping up with the times. It also opens up the competition to designers based outside New York. We all know there’s plenty of talent all over the country, so why not discover it? Looking at the quality of some of the current entries, the judges are going to have a tough task ahead!
The competition encourages you to submit a sketch of a handbag, scarf, hat, hair accessory, or piece of jewelry. Henri Bendel buyers will look over the designs, and if they like what they see your piece could end up made using Swarovski crystals and stocked by Henri Bendel.
You’d better get your thinking cap on though, as the Online Open See closes on July 21. Entry is open to residents of the United States aged 18 or older. You can only submit one design, so make sure it’s a good one!
