Today’s post is a glitzy glamor puss which can work surprisingly well for work: the KC Malhan Taos clutch. I don’t believe that sequins and embroidery have to be kept for evenings alone; you just have to know how to make them casual and tone them down.
Workwear
A black theme is always going to be the simplest backdrop for this bright and sparkly clutch. This applies for both work and evening; a simple dark outfit will always suit. For formal office uniforms I have pushed the boundaries with black jeans or trousers, and have pulled out the color of the bag with simple but quirky colored accessories. The shoes, this season’s oh-so-fashionable brogues, complete the formal look, and you could even brighten them up with some colored laces if you were feeling really brave.
Evening Wear
On nights out the Taos clutch really comes into its own. You can bling up a classic LBD with bold jewelery to match the statement the bag is making, and with some unbelievable skyscraper heels. You can play it down with the heels if you want, opting for something tribal inspired, but I think you should let a structural black dress stand out against a really architectural shoe. Against all of this the bag glitters away, making it undeniably evening appropriate and pretty sexy to boot.
