When we first met Alicia Silverstone, she was dispensing fashion advice as Cher Horowitz in Clueless. These days she’s a fully fledged eco chick using her knowledge of style to save the planet. After her first successful collaboration with green fashion line EcoTools, she’s set to do it all again with a collection of cosmetics purses.
The range, set to make its debut in April 2011, features three revised purses and three brand new accessories. A deluxe pencil case, hanging valet, and four-piece backstage vanity brush set are the latest additions to the line. They join an even larger six-piece brush set and bag, and cosmetic bag and train cases with new floral designs.
Each accessory is made from eco-friendly materials including hemp and recycled PET, and colored using non-toxic inks. EcoTools is so committed to its green goals that it donates one percent of its annual sales to 1% for the Planet, a business alliance which pools its resources to better the planet.
