The most glamorous stars of the big and small screens turned out last night for the Screen Actors Guild Awards. While fashionistas everywhere gushed over the gowns, we were captivated by the clutches!
All eyes were on Natalie Portman, who was the hot favorite to win the best dramatic actress award for her work in Black Swan. She accepted the coveted gong in a flowing white Azarro gown, which skimmed her blooming baby bump. Her black satin Roger Vivier clutch encrusted with gold and black Swarovski crystals completed the look.
Natalie Portman may have pipped her for that best dramatic actress award, but Winter’s Bone star Jennifer Lawrence sparkled on the red carpet. Celebrity favorite Judith Leiber designer her crystal box clutch. Its large black gems popped against her vibrant pink Oscar de la Renta gown. The ensemble was one of the great fashion risks of the night, but I think it paid off.
Glee’s Lea Michele also wore Oscar de la Renta, but she showed a much more reserved side of the famed designer. She looked radiant on the red carpet in her demure silver and white dress. She paired it with a Daniel Swarovski frame clutch, a natural choice for its white satin body and silver crystals. The purse sparkled just as much as her Tiffany jewelry!
