The former president of Valentino USA, Bruce Hoeksema has just been named as the new creative director for British luxury label Asprey.
Bruce Hoeksema built a relationship with Asprey over the past few years through his consultancy work with the firm, and he designed the label’s iconic 1781 and Darcy bags. The latter has an eight-month waiting list, so it seems smart for Asprey to put him on the books permanently.
Bruce Hoeksema told Women’s Wear Daily that he wants to craft “beautiful, chic, luxury pieces – which are not so easy to find today. Asprey has such an incredible name and heritage – and there is so much potential here.“
He said he’s also as passionate about Asprey’s smaller lines including their crystal and china collections.
VBH fans will be happy to learn that Bruce Hoeksema will continue to design for the Rome-based brand in addition to his Asprey duties.
