Banana Republic has worked with Mad Men’s costume designer Janie Bryant to create a new vintage-inspired fashion line. The retro diffusion collection will feature apparel for men and women, footwear, handbags and wallets, and even antiquated accessories like pocket squares and money clips.
Few people understand vintage fashion like Bryant, and Banana Republic’s creative director Simon Kneen said it was “a delight” to work with her to learn more about the period’s look and feel.
“Janie was instrumental in helping us achieve the series aesthetic and standard of authenticity with this capsule collection,” he explained.
This structured day bag, clutch purse, and belt, all in timeless leopard print, are just a few of the accessories on offer. They’re a great foil for the collection’s trench coats, high-waisted skirts, and matching leopard print pumps.
Banana Republic Facebook fans can take their pick of the 65 pieces available from August 10, ahead of the Mad Men collection’s official launch on August 11.
