Badgley Mischka attempts to win over anyone who swore they’d never wear pink with this Amy tote.
Subtlety is key here. The Amy’s blush color is so pale that even pink haters might forgive it. It’s feminine but not in your face, a pretty hue that’s versatile enough to carry anywhere. And if I still haven’t convinced you, you can always find the Amy in black.
Personally I’d persevere with the pink though, as it really brings out the Amy’s details. The perforated finish of the top panel and snap-button tabs are really what make the Amy special. These elements, along with the tote’s personality, are lost in the black version.
Whichever one you pick you’ll likely appreciate the Amy’s practicality though. Badgley Mischka’s worked hard to make this tall tote user-friendly. Large external pockets and an array of internal ones ensure you don’t need to get arm deep in your tote to find the essentials. The Amy’s also very slender, so if anything does go missing it shouldn’t take too long to locate. A paler lining would have made that job a bit easier, but it’s a minor quibble.
The rounded handles add to the Amy’s retro appeal, but they’re a bit short to be very serviceable. Thankfully Badgley Mischka’s also added a cross-body strap. However this could have stood to be a shade wider, as it’s bound to drag on shoulders. Make sure you don’t overstuff the Amy to avoid any strain.
At $259.99 though, we can forgive a few missteps. That’s not a lot to spend on a tote of such style and substance.
