Aldo has done it again. That is, they have produced a cute, lovable bag that is completely affordable. And when I say affordable, I mean it comes in at a credit-crunch friendly $19.98. Never before have I been quite so fond of a bargain basement item like this.
I think it is the design that does it for me. In a simple and effective bow-tie silhouette, the bag does classy-yet-casual evening wear brilliantly. Over-sized bows and patent accessories are big trends this season, and this clutch combines the two. Even better, it is in a snakeskin effect fabric, meaning you couldn’t pack more fashion-statements in if you tried. That’s especially impressive considering it’s tiny size!
Of course, you don’t get much storage with any clutch, but this one really suffers. It’s not got much depth, and this combined with a small frame really limits your packing choices. If you only need a phone and your keys, however, then you should be fine. And if push comes to shove, you could have the red version too for later in the night!
If you are expecting luxury and lots of quirky features, my advice is this: buy a more expensive bag! But if you want quick one-season looks that combine with vintage styling (and are happy to take the basics over the top-line) then this is going to do you proud. It won’t get you onto a red carpet, but it should get you as far as the limo!
