It wasn't your average documentary premiere on a weekday night. With all of the buzz surrounding the new film Valentino: The Last Emperor, there were sure to be some big names attending.

Celebrity fans, models, and designers showed up in droves for the opening night including everyone from Gwyneth Paltrow and Anne Hathaway to Diane von Furstenberg and Zac Posen. Valentino must have made quite an impression during his appearance on The Martha Stewart Show as the queen of craft herself was in attendance as well.

"I am so proud," said the designer, flanked by Paltrow and Madonna at a dinner held after the screening at the Plaza's Oak Room.

Well, it's probably hard not to be with fans like that. The nearly two-hour documentary featuring the designer's road to retirement (and his love of pugs) has opened in select locations, and will hit other theaters soon.
