Treesje reminds us to reduce, reuse, and recycle, with this eco-print logo tote.

My greatest problem is that it's not all that it's cracked up to. It poses as an eco-friendly handbag, but in actuality it's not much greener than the average tote. The leather handles and trim are a real no no in the eyes of environmentalists, and honestly the canvas body isn't too much better. After all, it's not made of organic canvas, and there's no evidence the fabric was dyed without harmful chemicals. These are the sort of claims you want in a green bag, so Treesje's failure to deliver is pretty disappointing.

I suppose the tote could earn its green stripes if it was used in place of a plastic bag at the grocery store. But let's get real; I can't imagine filling a $225 bag with eggs and milk!

It honestly feels like Treesje is trading off the popularity of eco-chic fashions without really putting the work in here. This tote might raise awareness of green issues, but it doesn't do much to provide a solution.
