Being the CEO of a fashion label probably isn't the most desired or secure job right now, even when that label is fully established. In fact, it might be that some of the up-and-coming designers are surprisingly a little better off than the seasoned ones.
Perhaps this was what prompted Elie Tahari's CEO Susan Kellog to resign from her post. It wouldn't surprise me to see more of the same throughout the struggling fashion industry, although that's just speculation for now.
The New York-based design company doesn't plan to go anywhere soon, though. With plans for expansion and celebrity fans like Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Garner, we'll probably continue to see Elie Tahari designs in stores for a long time ... just with a new CEO in charge.

That’s just stupid speculation saying “with a new CEO in charge.”
Everyone knows Elie Tahari is a family run, tightly controlled business. Susan Kellogg helped them to expand being the brilliant and seasoned professional she is. The Tahari’s are cutting back and personally having difficulty doing so. By cutting Susan because of salary may not save them money. She has already saved them from mistakes and millions of dollars by reshaping and guiding them to expand.
“It’s the economy, Stupid.” I think that Elie and Rory are the new CEO’s.
