Givenchy StoreSue Whiteley has taken over the reins at Givenchy.

Sue Whiteley is certainly no stranger to the world of luxury fashion. Prior to this appointment she was Louis Vuitton’s managing director, overseeing the French label’s operations in the United Kingdom, Ireland, and Scandinavia. She’s also worked as the buying director at Harvey Nichols and president and CEO of Alexander McQueen.

I’ve long believed that commerce and art can happily co-exist alongside one another,Whiteley told the London Evening Standard. “In fact I believe they are essential to success in business. I’d like to think that my passion for art and culture has helped promote the vision of brands that I have worked with over the years.

Whiteley’s certainly got the style chops to take on such a pivotal role. I’m looking forward to seeing her influence in future Givenchy collections. Do you think she’s the right woman for the job?
