British fashion designer Olivia Rubin’s collaborative collection with Dune has hit stores, and it provides just the hit of color we need after a dull winter.
Shoes are understandably the line’s centerpiece, but the complementary purses are every bit as appealing. I love the way the clutches and totes are made from the same fabric as the shoes, so we can pair them for a unified look or let them speak for themselves solo.
Longtime Olivia Rubin fans will recognize those signature prints from her previous ready-to-wear lines. The vibrant pattern with its disco vibe pictured is my favorite, but there’s also a more neutral safari style print, as well as a modern monochrome design.
Rubin says she loved working with Dune, who she says understood her “vision as a designer.” She added that the collection offers something for everybody, and with three such distinct prints and a range of different footwear styles I don’t disagree!
The Olivia Rubin for Dune goodies are available now from Dune boutiques, including the retailer’s online store. The shoes start at £65 for a pair of flats, while the purses are available from £60 for the Luella frame clutch. It’s a fairly small collection, but its unique complementary concept makes it worth a look.
