Mellow World gives retro patchwork a springtime lift with its Bliss bag.

The star of the show is the bold patchwork flower on the front of the bag. Colorful swatches of faux crocodile, alligator, python print skin make the petals, while a gleaming metal stud stands in for pollen. Glittering rhinestones create smaller blooms and buds which dot a stitched branch. The softly textured faux leather body is complemented by faux snakeskin trim. There are a lot of different textures and embellishments going on here and I'm not sure it all works, but I admire Mellow World's willingness to take risks.

The daring front makes the almost bare back seem a bit boring, but I do appreciate the zippered pocket Mellow World’s included. It’s always nice to see a pocket here, as it gets a little extra security against your body.

This is an enormous bag, but Mellow World makes it more manageable with a large zippered envelope running down the center. This separates the interior into three user-friendly compartments. With cell and sunglasses pouches and a zippered wall pocket to boot, this large space is surprisingly easy to work with.

Its daring looks will polarize stylistas, but if you've fallen for them the $64.95 price tag seems a steal.
