Matt & Nat have been doing the eco-friendly thing in fashion for a while now. They've got to be best pals with PETA, too, for their outspoken campaign against use of leather and fur.

Well, they're sure to be getting some extra brownie points with both animal lovers and fashionistas alike (especially when the two are combined) for their latest collection. For their fall/winter 09 line, Matt & Nat has included a new faux suede made from 100% recycled bottles.

Though I haven't been lucky enough to get my hands on one of these handbags to see how much they feel like the real thing, I suppose that's not the most important thing here. The best part is that these new fall bags, new faux suede and signature vegan leather, are gorgeous. They've got all the markings of a Matt & Nat purse with some lovely autumn and winter colors like this moss green satchel shown above.
