Apparently Mandy Moore’s fashion line is officially finished. The celebrity recently closed the doors of her brand Mblem, which was originally started in 2005.
I can’t help but think, “Mandy Moore had a fashion line?” I guess I might remember seeing a blip about it on some entertainment news show, but it certainly didn’t seem to make it huge in mainstream fashion.
The singer/actress/designer alluded to the fact that the line was no longer a portrayal of her creative vision. Perhaps a difficult economy also played a part in the brand’s demise. Although Mblem didn’t work out for her, Mandy hasn’t quit her love of fashion yet.
“If I were to dip my toe back in there, it would have to be the right situation … a great partnership that could represent a true reflection of me and my ideas and you know that wasn’t happening,” Mandy said.
I suppose for now we’ll just have to satisfy our love of celebrity designers with other fabulous lines like L.A.M.B. and Jessica Simpson. I’m sure these popular brands won’t be closing their doors anytime soon.
