Anyone can carry a Lulu Guinness handbag, but if you don't have brains the British designer definitely won't approve! The handbag queen recently told Vogue UK the kind of girls that she'd prefer carrying her purses.

"Generally the girls who want to carry my bags are pretty bright and quirky,” she said. “We don't look for people to carry our bags, they generally come to us, and I think to be drawn to the bags you have to have a bit of confidence and individuality. They've got to have a brain."

So who does meet Lulu's approval? None other than Girls Aloud singer and The X Factor judge, Cheryl Cole.

"Whatever you do to her, whatever angle you look at her from, she is just perfect. I think she is the most beautiful girl in the world!" Lulu gushed.

Presumably she also thinks Cheryl has the smarts to match those smoking looks!

Soon the lads will have to measure up, with Lulu announcing a foray into menswear. She's teamed up with hat designer Stephen Jones, and can’t wait to unleash their creations.

"He's been asking me for ages and he's such a good friend that I decided I wanted to do one."

If the designs are as quirky as Lulu Guinness' women's collections, the men are in for quite a treat!
